Stay safe and thank you.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I work predominantly with adults who suffer with chronic and persistent mental health issues such as Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and other Mood, Psychotic and Delusion Disorders. I also address the functional problems that often accompany these long-term debilitating disorders like low self-esteem, low self-efficacy, anhedonia, limited emotional responses, low motivation, negative cognitions, poor social skills, and difficulty with completing simple life tasks. I also assist with psychoeducation and support for families caring for a loved one who is suffering with long-term mental health issues. I wholeheartedly believe in developing treatment plans that are person-centered and driven by the desires and needs of the client.

I also work professionally as a psychometrist alongside talented psychologists administering adult and child psychological assessments for differential diagnosis of intellectual disabilities, ADHD, learning disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and socioemotional problems specifically helpful for school/classroom placements, focus of treatment, and generating recommendations for non-mental health providers involved in the individual’s care.

I am passionate about helping individuals and their loved ones rebuild or create the quality of life they desire that is often severely and negatively impacted by suffering with a mental illness or caring for a loved one suffering with long-term chronic mental illness. I am also a passionate advocate of destigmatizing mental illness and actively linking and individuals and families to resources and services that are needed and helpful to them. The initial session would include getting to know the client, a review of a current and past treatment, and a discussion about what they would like to accomplish in treatment. Informed consent forms and consent for treatment would be completed as well as an agreement regarding method of payment or insurance coverage. The first appointment will last about one hour.
