Have you been struggling with unsettling feelings in your personal relationship and you can’t seem to
figure out how to make things any different? I believe we all get into a relationship to feel connected to
someone and to be able to grow and share our lives with another human. When we don’t connect, we feel
uncomfortable; especially if we are in a relationship and feel alone. Whether it’s because of
communication issues, different schedules, or ways of managing stress; if our partner doesn’t understand
us, we feel alone.
My role as a therapist is to help you identify what you want different in your life and discuss your goals. I
work with you to implement new strategies for a healthier you and a healthier relationship. I provide a
supportive environment while you explore and discover new solutions to a better way of life.
I was raised here in Virginia Beach, attended undergraduate school in Virginia and then moved to San
Diego to learn a different way of life and pursue my goals. During my time in San Diego, I obtained my
graduate degree from San Diego State University. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling – Marriage
and Family Therapy in 2008. After completing my residency in Virginia, I completed extensive training in
Emotionally Focused Therapy where my focus was on couples counseling and helping couples renew
